Bible Verses for Strength

We all have seasons in life where we feel beat down and wore out. Stress sneaks up on you and threatens to overwhelm you while you busy trying to beat worry into submission. Luckily the Bible has tons of verses for when you are needing strength. God is so good. Sometimes we forget that God is our strength. We waste time by wasting our own resources and when we’ve worn ourselves out and gotten in over our heads, God is there to restore and replenish.

ALWLF Currentlys! | Nevertheless I Live

Hey y’all!! Happy Friday! I want to start doing more Nevertheless I Live posts which come from Galatians 2:20 which says “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Nevertheless I live is just me sharing my life and whats happening over here. Sometime i have deep things to share like the post where I talk about living a life free from shame. Other times…like today I am just going to talk about general things. I think today is a great day for an update post! I thought I’d tell y’all what I am currently working on here behind the scenes of A Love Worth Living For! Here we go!

How To Trust God

If you have been in church for any period of time or been around Christians, it is likely you will be familiar with this verse:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

This is one of the catchphrase verses that all Sunday school kids memorize. It’s a verse I catch myself quoting but not really thinking about or really even applying. I mean, stop and think about it…Trust in the Lord. Easier memorized than done, right? How can we know that we trust God? How can we be sure that, regardless of what life flings at us, our trust in God will remain steadfast? What even is trust!?!? How can we trust in God?

How To Be Selfless In A Selfie World

It is still crazy to me that the word “selfie” is such a part of our everyday vocabulary. We are living in a selfie world. We have special sticks to help us take them. We have a few incredibly annoying “songs” all about taking them. We have hundreds of apps and filters to make us look better than we really do in them. Most of us have that 4 year old niece or cousin that’s better at taking them than you are. I even saw a celebrity giving a tour of her house and she had a whole section filled with commercial grade lighting and props just for taking her selfies… It’s crazy.
