Verses to Help You Deal with Anger + Tips From a Former Hot-Head

This may come as a shock to you, but I can be a bit of a hot head. My family jokes about the Wallace temper. We’ve passed anger and rage down for generations and it diffidently did not skip over me. I have always said that I just feel everything too much and before Jesus’ sanctifying work in my life, it never took much to send me over the edge.

Life throws all kind of crazy at us ALL the time. If you are anything like me, anger is a quick response to the chaos. One of my biggest hang ups was figuring out what to do with all my anger once it shows up. I am going to share some verses of scripture about anger. I am also going to share some of my favorite tips and tricks for dealing with anger when it shows up.

Loving Him When it's Hard: Scriptures to Help You Love Your Husband

Two becoming one can be as difficult and ridiculous as it sounds. I LOVE my husband and he LOVES me, but man, there are some moments where I find it extremely difficult to love him and I know myself well enough to know that there are times were it is difficult for him to choose to love me as well.

I am still figuring out this marriage thing but I know that the passion and desire that I have to make the most of my marriage for God’s glory and to inspire other to do likewise is from my Father. Today I want to share some verses that help me to love my husband and really anyone (but especially my husband) when it is difficult.

The desire for revenge comes in many different packages and it is all fueled by bitterness. It is fueled by anger and offenses. Bitterness takes a tole on a person. Harboring anger causes all kinds of havoc in your life and health.

When I Don't Know What To Do, He Says "Be Faithful"

I was asking God what to do. How can I be a good wife to my husband? I feel like I am approaching the days where “newlywed” will no longer apply and I still feel like I am failing miserably at loving him well. How can I build a successful business? Sometimes the only thing that keeps me doing it is the fact that I know that I know it is what I am supposed to be doing. How can I be a good friend, daughter, sister, leader, disciple maker, etc. How I just be enough?

I was rambling on just like this when I heard the Lord say two words that put everything into perspective for me. With two simple words He once again calmed the raging storm inside my soul. He said, “be faithful.”

Fruit of the Spirit Canvas Banner Diy

Hello everyone! I am excited to share what I made last weekend with you all! I really wanted to do something with the fruit of the Spirit. I don't know if you guys have googled fruit of the spirit crafts or fruit of the Spirit art but I was less than impressed with the selection of mature & stylish projects.

A couple weeks ago I made a Dori notebook out of painted canvas and that is how the idea for this project was born. Today I want to share with you guys how I made these canvas banners. With summer approaching this would be a great fruit of the spirit craft for teens at vacation bible school or church camp. You could also sub out the fruits of the Spirit for other scripture lists like the beatitudes or like the things we are told to think on in Philippians 4:8 which is what I did with my second banner.

Four Things To Tell Yourself Today

It has been a minute since I shared a little #mondaymovtivation with you guys! Lately I have been thinking about all the negative things I tend to think and even sometimes say about myself out of habit. There are so many things we say to ourselves that we could never say to anyone else. If we said to others what we often think about ourselves to ourselves we would be considered abusive and would probably have very few friends.

I am a huge believer that there is immense power in your thought life. That is why Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (ESV) We have to teach ourselves to think on things that are positive, productive & true!

So today I am sharing 4 things I want all of my Christian sisters (& brothers if you are here) to tell yourselves today

10 Songs To Help When You Feel Alone

Hey guys! This week me and a couple of friends went to see Miracles from Heaven & it was so good! One of the main themes of the movie was the fact that we as believers are never alone. God never leaves us. Even when life is hard, His love remains steadfast and unconditional.

One of the greatest lies in my life has been that I am alone. I was battling this crazy lie yesterday and one of my go to methods (when I am tired of wallowing in self pity) is to put on some praise music and change my attitude and atmosphere.
