Hey guys! This week me and a couple of friends went to see Miracles from Heaven & it was so good! One of the main themes of the movie was the fact that we as believers are never alone. God never leaves us. Even when life is hard, His love remains steadfast and unconditional.

One of the greatest lies in my life has been that I am alone. I was battling this crazy lie yesterday and one of my go to methods (when I am tired of wallowing in self pity) is to put on some praise music and change my attitude and atmosphere.

Now I am old school you guys. I still listen to pandora. I know the rest of the world has moved on iTunes radio and Spotify & who knows what other radios exist. My pandora knows me y'all. We've had years and years of fine tuning my stations. You all should hear my Kelly Clarkson Radio. It's gold. But my favorite station is my Bethel Music station that is fine tuned to play lots and lots of worship music.

Yesterday as I was trying to stand against that lie it's was like the Holy Ghost and Pandora Radio teamed up and played the exact songs I needed to hear in that moment. I could feel the lie shrinking and shrinking as the Truth of who God was and what He has done and promised became bigger and bigger.

So today I decided to share the ten songs that played and helped me refocus on God and change my attitude. I have made a Youtube playlist of the songs (or a version that I found & liked better.) so all you have to do is click any of the links and it will take you to the whole list. I also added a couple bonus songs!!

Here are 10 songs for when you feel alone or you can't feel God (& some extra commentary from me on each song of course. ;P).

THIS SONG! I used to listen to this song on repeat for hours. Used to? I actually did that today. The song begins with a believer crying out to God asking if He's left or finished forgiving and the second half of the song is a beautiful response from the Lord that will set your soul on fire. Literally. Prepare to be completely lit.

2. Love Came Down cover by Megan & Jed Richardson

"If my heart is overwhelmed & I cannot hear Your voice
I hold on to what is true, though I cannot see

If the storms of life they come & the road ahead gets steep

The version that played on Pandora was by Kari Jobe but when I was collecting videos for you all I found this cover & it is lovely. This song is an anthem for me. It reminds me of Habakkuk when he boldly proclaims that he will have faith in God no matter what happens around him. This song reminds my soul who I belong to.

3. We Will Not Be Shaken by Brian Johnson & Bethel Music

"For in the hour of our darkest day

This song is a bold & mighty declaration. It's prophetic. Darkness can't stay when we loudly declare that we trust our God and through Him WE WILL NOT BE SHAKEN!

4. Came To My Rescue by Hillsong United

In my life be lifted high
In our world be lifted high
In our love be lifted high"

I love a song that reminds me of what God has done for me. When I am fighting off lies and negativity, I find freedom in remembering that I called & God answered. & don't get me started on that bridge though! In my life be lifted high! In all that I am & all that I do & accomplish, Lord, You be lifted high! In my world be lifted high! In my marriage be lifted high! In my friendships & relationships be lifted high! In my thinking be lifted high!

5. You Are Faithful by Kim Walker-Smith/Jesus Culture

"And your spirit soars in me
To the highest height
From where I'll not look back, no
I'll keep trusting you

From the land of the barren
We will cry out for rain, rain God
Fill our hearts God
I'll keep trusting you"

He is faithful. the enemy throughs lies at us that tend to get us focusing on ourselves. Shame and self-pity become our anthems. Songs like this refocuses our minds on truth. Praise shifts our focus from ourselves and our lack to our mighty and loving God and His abundance! Even in the land of the barren, He is faithful and we can cry out for rain!

Jesus, lover of my soul. He never leaves us. He never forsakes us. He has a magnificent plan for each of us. It's never too late. He is constantly wooing us to Himself. He is forever drawing us closer. He is always offering us more. Even when we do wrong, He stays & he just keeps pursuing.

Yes. I am a sloppy wet kiss kind of Christian, not an unforeseen kiss...I don't even know what that means...no offense David Crowder. My dad gives the sloppiest and wettest kisses ever. I remember hating when he'd plant on on my cheek or forehead my whole childhood. I miss those days now & when I think of Heaven meeting earth like a kiss I imagine it as a sloppy wet one from my loving Father. He loves us. May that truth define our whole lives.

Your Spirit calls my heart to sing. I love that line. I also LOVE the line that says "I left my fear by the side of the road." I like that it feels like weights are dropping off of my heart as I sing out that all I need is the Lord.

I had never heard this song when Pandora dropped this beauty into my ears! I love this. Here I am trying to fight back the lies and darkness and this song calls us to take a moment to remember who God is. I also love those moments where we can say, "There you go lifting me load once again, Father."

10. Still Believe by Kim Walker

Your blood makes the deaf to hear right now

This song is like the ultimate grand finale. I find this song to also be quite prophetic. Singing it over your life and circumstances releases peace and fights back lies and darkness. There is power released when you stand in the middle of your circumstances or in the heat of an attack and declare over it all that "I STILL BELIEVE YOUR BLOOD IS SUFFICIENT FOR ME! I STILL BELIEVE YOU ARE THE HIGHEST POWER! I STILL BELIEVE THAT DARKNESS MUST FLEE! I STILL BELIEVE THAT I AM FREE. I STILL BELIEVE YOUR BLOOD RESURRECTS! I BELIEVE YOU ARE WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE! I BELIEVE!"
