We all carry so many things that we just don’t have too. I have some pretty great friends. We were talking yesterday about the things that consume our thought lives and I think it was a rude awakening for us all. The things that consume my thought life are so unproductive and down right destructive. This got me thinking about todays post.

Meaning of A Love Worth Living For | Nevertheless I Live

If you are a newer reader, on Fridays I share a series I call “Nevertheless I Live” where I share a more casual toned post that is usually more personal then my regular content. Today I want to share with you guys the meaning behind the name of the blog!

I love blogging. I started my first blog when I was 17. I had bloggish platforms before that, but at 17 I created my first real official blog. I have been blogging in some capacity ever since. I started dreaming of having a full time blog before I ever learned that you could actually make blogging your full time job. For years I would brainstorm content ideas and themes and focuses for my someday blog.

Burnout: Scripture for Burnout, Stress & Overwhelm

Whether you are called to missions where you are pursuing the nations for the sake of the gospel or a counselor or pastor/pastor’s spouse loving on hurting people or just a tired caregiver or overworked mama, burnouts can happen. Luckily there is hope in those seasons in God's word. There are verses for burnout. Today I want to share some scriptures for when you are stressed and overwhelmed. 

We tend to pursue perfection and excellence in all we do, but in that pursuit it is easy to get distracted and overwhelmed and eventually burned out. Burnout is pure stress and it causes us to be completely drained and exhausted emotionally, physically and mentally.

I want to share one particular passage of scripture that I always run too when I am feeling stressed and burned out. I have also shared this verse with dozens of women struggling with stress, anxiety and depression and have seen it provide help and relief.
