How To Create A Daily Worship and Prayer Time - June Worship Playlist & Prayer Guide

Today I am sharing with you our current playlist along with verses and how I would go about praying through the songs. I hope that this will help you create your own time of praise and worship each day and if you already have a time and routine then I hope this revives and gives you some fun new ideas or songs!

I LOVE praise and worship. I am a big believer that your experience with it corporately at church on Sundays is a reflection of your private praise and worship time.

Lately, I have been trying to focus on better hosting the presence of God in my home. It is important to me that Judah grow up experiencing the Father through the day to day details and actions of his father and me.

So we have been spending the first hour or so of the morning together listening to worship music and saying a little prayer together. I pray, and he contributes a few “da da da's” and “buhbye’s.”

I pick 4 to 5 songs that feel relevant to my current circumstances and create a playlist that we listen to for a few weeks. I love picking songs with truths I struggle to believe or wrap my head around and playing them until I feel like my soul believes the words I am declaring through them.

These playlists will be a new ongoing series. Members of our community get pdf guides to accompany the playlist. If that interests you then know you are of course invited to join our community of thousands of praying women below!

All the verses marked TPT shared in today post are taken from one of Mike and I’s favorite translations, The Passion Translation. We love this version and the heart behind it. The best part is the Kindle version is usually available on Amazon for under $10. Last time I checked, it was only $6.99! You can check it out here.

After All These Years - Brian Johnson

The God who was and is to come
Has been the same for me
After all these years You’ve never given up
After all these years You’re constant with Your love
It amazes me, after all You’ve done
It amazes me, You’re still running after us

So now wrap your heart tightly around the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises!  Hebrews 10:23 TPT

So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One! Romans 8:38-39 TPT

This is a great song to start with because it declare and reminds you who your Father is. As this song plays just soak in the words and declare them as truth in your heart and mind. Remind yourself of His faithfulness and the things you have seen Him do for you in the past. This would be a great song to journal to!

Prayer Guide:

Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Thank You for the sweet reminder this morning that You are always with me. Thank you that you are closer than I can ever imagine. Thank you that You never give up on me even when my life gets messy or complicated. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for breaking shame off of my life. Thank You for Your gift of grace.

Spending time with the Lord becomes easier when you meditate on and begin to wrap your head around how intensely He loves you. Knowing that changes everything. Never Once - Cathrine Mullins

He is my faithful father,
calling me out of the dark.
Night cannot whisper away what he said in the light.
He is my firm foundation.
My anchor won't be moved.
Storms may collide but my soul is on fire with his word.

When you pass through the deep, stormy sea, you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through raging rivers, You will not drown. When you walk through persecution like fiery flames, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you, Isaiah 43:2 TPT

You’re as real to me as bedrock beneath my feet,
like a castle on a cliff, my forever firm fortress,
my mountain of hiding, my pathway of escape,
my tower of rescue where none can reach me.
My secret strength and shield around me,
you are salvation’s ray of brightness shining on the hillside,
always the champion of my cause.
All I need to do is to call to you,
singing to you, the praiseworthy God.
When I do, I’m safe and sound in you. Psalm 18:2-3 TPT

This song reminds us that our Father is a God of action. He is our defender. He fights for us and He has never lost and He never will. During this song begin to speak your circumstances and any trials or obstacles you may be facing and remind them that your Heavenly Father defends you.

Prayer Guide:

Declare out loud:

My Father is my great defender and I am safe with Him.

I am anchored and secure in my Father’s love for me.

Jesus Christ is my firm foundation and with Him I shall not be moved regardless of what my circumstances may claim.

I am victorious thanks to Jesus.

I Will Wait - Bryn Waddell

An evil army's all around me
Another war that's in my way
Oh but I believe the word that You promised me
So I will wait another day

So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose. Romans 8:28 TPT

Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic ones may stumble and fall. But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up. Isaiah 40:30-31 TPT

Prayer Guide:

I know that you are good Father and that You keep Your promises. I trust You and I know that You are working all things for my good. I know that my life is always before you and I am thankful that You are forever with me. I know that I never face anything alone. Father I place all of my hope in You and I thank You that when I find myself between a rock and a hard place I can look to your for help and rescue. When there’s a raging sea in front of me and a mighty army behind me, I can look to You because You make the impossible possible.

Father, help me to run the race You’ve set before me with courage and integrity.

I Am No Victim - Kristene DiMarco

I am who He says I am
He is who He says He is
I'm defined by all His promises
Shaped by every word He says

And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. He is the Head of every kingdom and authority in the universe! Colossians 2:10 TPT

Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! Romans 8:37 TPT

And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!” Romans 8:15-16 TPT

Prayer Guide:

I am not a victim! I overwhelming triumph and prosper through my savior Jesus Christ.

Begin telling your circumstances the truth about who your Father is, what Jesus has done for you, who you now are in Him and what that means for anything that comes against you.

My God is mighty and all powerful. My God is a loving Father. My Father is a faithful friend. My Father is a healer. My Father is a provider. My Father is always with me. Mountains move at the name of Jesus. Demons flee at the name of Jesus. Sickness and pain are healed by the stripes He bore.

I am His child. I am His friend. I have been adopted and He is my loving Father. He gave His son for me. I am victorious through Him. I am a completely new creation through Him. Nothing and no-one can condemn me.

Every Giant Will Fall - Rend Collective

When my fears, like Jericho
Build their walls around my soul
When my heart is overthrown
Your love is my battle cry
The anthem for all my life

Every giant will fall, the mountains will move
Every chain of the past, You've broken in two
Over fear, over lies, we're singing the truth
That nothing is impossible with You

God always makes his grace visible in Christ, who includes us as partners of his endless triumph. Through our yielded lives he spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere we go. 2 Corinthians 2:14 TPT

So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us? For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give.

Who then would dare to accuse those whom God has chosen in love to be his? God himself is the judge who has issued his final verdict over them—“Not guilty!” Romans 8:31-33 TPT

Prayer Guide:

Nothing is impossible for You, Father! Nothing that I ever face will ever be too big for You! You are mighty and all powerful and You love and defend me. Nothing scares You. You walk with me through every valley and heartbreak.

Thank you that every mountain must move in Jesus name! Thank you for fallen giants. Thank you for moved mountains. Thank you for broken chains. Thank you for breaking off fears and replacing lies with Your truth. Thank You for victory!

I find that repetition only increases the over all experience. As you sing the songs each morning and pray the words you are learning they get stuck in your head and follow you into your day. I will listen to the same playlist until I am feel ready to move on.

Check back next month for a new playlist!
